11 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (7 Sept)

Down...

1. Stokely & Co. Don't Connect

Stokely Hathaway
AEW

Stokely Hathaway's new group addressed the Dynamite crowd after helping MJF win All Out's Casino Ladder Match, battering a stagehand in a segment that unfortunately stands as the only thing that failed to connect with the live audience on the night.

This fell flat. Hathaway was fun on the microphone, calling himself 'The King of Ladder Matches' and putting over All Out, where he scaled a ladder without resistance and handed a poker chip to MJF, the greatest night of his career. When a stagehand told him to move on, that stagehand ate dirt.

Beating up a defenceless staff member is theoretically good heat, though it didn't resonate in Buffalo and it didn't resonate through the television either. AEW must work harder to get this group over.
