11 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE NXT (Oct 30)

6. Thorney Issues

Shane Thorne Bronson Reed

It initially appeared as though the clinical booking of NXT may have slipped with its scalpel as Shane Thorne and Bronson Reed may their way out for what appeared to be a fairly clandestine outing to calm the crowd down.

Within four minutes, Full Sail had come unglued yet again.

Thorne and Reed hit hard, high and fast, making the most of the latter's surprisingly athletic side as well as the underrated in-ring game of the former TM61 man.

This was far from a breakout performance for either, but a long way removed from the sahara-like nothingness many prescribe as NXT's biggest issue. Reed's win didn't hurt Thorne either - following a spirited effort against Johnny Gargano several weeks ago, he looked keen here to make exactly the right noises for a potential future push.
