11. Wrestle House
2020, as a whole, has been a nightmare to sit through due to this pandemic, however, had it not been for the pandemic, who knows where cinematic wrestling would lie within the current landscape.
It wouldn't lie anywhere, most likely.
It's true, though. Without the empty arena shows on a regular basis, pro wrestling would have remained the same, but this unprecedented year has allowed promotions to think outside the box. As a result, Impact Wrestling created Wrestle House. Essentially, a group of Impact stars had to live in what was billed as Tommy Dreamer's own six-bedroom home, where we checked in with them weekly to see what wacky skits they were able to come up with.
Some were decent (the brawl between XXXL and The Deaners), some were downright abysmal (Cousin Jake and Susie's initial admiration for one another), and some will be remembered for years to come (John E. Bravo proposing to Rosemary). On a whole, it was a tremendous effort put in by everyone involved - although the matches were often skippable - and it's something that should wholeheartedly be revisited somewhere in the future.
Plus, it also led us nicely into another massive story arc from Impact's 2020...
