Impact Wrestling's positioning of Rob Van Dam throughout 2020 has been unbearable to watch, if we're being completely honest. His alliance with real-life partner Katie Forbes made for grotesque viewing, and their Cancel Culture stable with Joseph P. Ryan and Jacob Crist didn't get much of a chance to get off the tracks for obvious reasons. Even aside from that, though, 'The Whole F'N Show' never needed to be placed as such a high-calibre star in 2020. Simple as can be.

His rivalry with Sami Callihan was the biggest Down of Callihan's career, even if we did witness a piledriver to Forbes, and apart from a decent World Championship challenge in Eddie Edwards' weekly open challenge era, his in-ring work has noticeably fallen far below the bar required to be in the position he was. Despite being released from the company following their Callihan fued, Van Dam and Forbes' tenure won't ever be remembered for a single positive reason.

Nearing his fifties, a return to WWE for RVD seems most likely, given his appearance in their upcoming Icons series on the WWE Network. So, yay?
