11 Ups & 2 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (14 Oct)

8. You Hungry?

Trey Miguel and Alex Zayne's promo exchange last night was something.

Miguel was discussing his chances of lifting the vacant X Division Title next Saturday, and noted how he defeated Laredo Kid and Zayne to reach the match. Cue the former Ari Sterling to enter, proclaiming how he was the one who'd weakened the AAA sensation for Trey to win the match. This itself is fine stuff as it sets up a singles bout between them, which was the purpose of the segment.

What followed was an interesting battle of words. You see, Alex's moniker is 'The Sauce', so it's common for him to work this into a promo. Here, though, Zayne noted how Miguel shouldn't twist the story unless it's cinnamon and asked Trey if he wanted a taste, while the former Rascalz man said Zayne reminded him of a sauceless chicken sandwich and stated he wanted the whole kitchen.

Great, great stuff, and major props to Gia Miller for maintaining her composure. They'll now square off next week in what will be a hoot, but the setup to said match was genuinely hilarious material.
