11 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Sep 9)
9. Brotherly Shove
Rey Fenix and Pentagon got into a shoving match after falling to Jurassic Express. Understandable, given the finish, and Eddie Kingston had difficulty pulling them back together, with it taking a minute for him to get the arguing siblings together for a handshake.
Splitting the Lucha Brothers may not be the worst idea in the world here. Both have breakout potential in the singles ranks and they are a mid-level team in AEW anyway. The division's crowded ranks can afford to shed a unit and if AEW can't push them as a tandem, perhaps they'll find a bigger role for one (or both) as a solo act.
Kingston's little World Title tease was as important as the potential split, as he rightly pointed out that he was never truly eliminated from the Casino Battle Royale, having not gone over the top rope. He is sure to be a spanner in Jon Moxley and Lance Archer's works over the coming weeks. Let's see where this breadcrumb trail leads us.
