11 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Sep 9)

Chris Jericho MJF
AEW

Reminding AEW viewers of the parallels between MJF and Chris Jericho was an adroit move to open last night's Dynamite. The company has done this before, of course, and these interactions serve as effective seed-planters before their relationship grows into something else later down the line, whatever road they take.

MJF and Jericho took identical approaches here. They pulled up in similar black cars and threw passive-aggressive commiserations at each other, dripping with insincerity. Each muttered "what a loser" as they walked off, having barely been able to hide their mutual disdain before bumping elbows.

A short, sharp introduction, and ultimately a small piece of the puzzle, though it'll eventually come together to form a beautiful whole.
