11 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 10)

4. Wrestler's Court

Seeing as he failed to help out Johnny Swinger against Petey Williams last week, Joey Ryan was told that Impact management had requested to speak to him regarding his contract, only to find himself in Wrestler's Court. The court was nothing more than a bathroom, with Tommy Dreamer serving as the judge. Wrestler, promoter (with House of Hardcore), referee, judge - is there anything 'The Innovator of Violence' can't do?

The likes of D'Lo Brown, Kiera Hogan, and Bob Evans all appeared as witnesses, although there was no Petey Williams to be found, which was odd seeing as he was the opponent for 'The Swing Man' last week. Kiera burst into tears after saying she was offended by Joey's wonderful moustache, Gama Singh caused a scene before being escorted from the courtroom, and 'The King of Dong Style' claimed that he just wanted wrestling to be about fun and games.

Everything about this segment was absolutely hilarious, culminating in Joey being sentenced guilty to facing Acey Romero next week. When comedy in wrestling is done right, it's completely perfect, and who better to go for than Joey Ryan. There was nothing bad to note here. We got the continuation of the Joey Ryan/Johnny Swinger pairing, which could end up being truly fantastic, and we've got another match signed for Acey Romero that will further put his name on the map. Good news all around.
