11 Ups & 4 Downs From ALL IN 2018

1. Holy Sh*t

Chris Jericho ALL IN
ALL IN

So much for appeasing Vince McMahon by not appearing for any other wrestling show in the United States, eh Chris?

Jericho's appearance gave ALL IN the big taking point it needed. The lights dimmed after Kenny Omega vs. Pentagon, and the felled skeleton ninja rose from the dead. He jumped Omega, battering him with strikes, before pulling off a Codebreaker. Then, he stopped, soaked in the atmosphere, and pulled off his mask, hitting 'The Cleaner' with another finisher, blowing the roof off once more.

It was an incredible spot. Visually, 'Y2J' is taller and heavier than Penta. This established the first strains of doubt, and the initial Codebreaker blew them away, provoking a thunderous response from the Chicago crowd.

Having fallen to Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12, the IWGP Intercontinental Champion gained a measure of revenge, pimping his upcoming cruise, and immediately put his name back in the headlines, all within a single angle. He's playing the free agent game to perfection. God bless him and everything he brings to the table.
