11 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2020

1. All Night Long

Rich Swann is your new Impact Wrestling World Champion. Wow.

The former 205 Live star had the fight of his life with Eric Young in what was undoubtedly the most emotionally-charged match we've seen in Impact for quite some time. There was a vicious spot early on in the match where Swann landed directly on the top of his skull on the ring apron, causing what appeared to be a legit injury. Luckily, Rich was moving in no time, suffering no serious damage.

To say the action in this one was of the calibre of a pay-per-view main event would be an understatement. From a standing phoenix splash all the way to a top rope wheelbarrow neckbreaker, the match had it all, and culminated in Swann's handspring cutter and a normal phoenix splash for the three count. It's amazing, really, that they didn't simply have an all-out brawl, instead choosing to remember that Rich's leg has been the target of this whole story arc. The sheer emotion from Swann upon becoming the new champion told the whole story.

Neither Rich or 'The World Class Maniac' get the credit they deserve for the story they've been able to craft over the past few months. From both men making their surprise return in the same match at Slammiversary to Swann's early retirement to his emotional comeback, all while EY terrorised Impact Wrestling, it's been a real rollercoaster.

When a pro wrestling story is able to make you feel something inside, you know it's achieved its job.
