11 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling No Surrender 2021
4. Experience Always Wins
The Good Brothers may not be the flashiest pairing of all-time, particularly when they're wrestling, but that's fine. The near decade-long run of Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson being a cohesive unit is what ensured they left No Surrender as the World Tag Team Champions.
Gallows and Anderson refrained from doing anything too major throughout the match, instead preferring to keep the action on the ground. This is how they won, though. 'The Big LG' tactically distracted the referee by attempting to use a steel chair, which actually allowed Matt Hardy to interfere and come close to crowning new champs in Private Party, but instead, Karl Anderson sneakily tagged himself in. A shooting star press from Quen saw 'The Machine Gun' steal the fall.
This was a terrific finish.
We'd just witnessed an all-time classic between Private Party and Beer Guns, with The Good Brothers on-hand to slow the match back down when it needed doing so. It all built up perfectly to the ending. Anderson and Gallows, by failing to do anything that used too much energy, had that bit left in the tank when no-one else did. Yes, 'Big Money Matt' hit James Storm with a Twist of Fate behind the referee's back, but a battered Private Party took too long to capitalise on it. Thus, The Good Brothers swiped in gorgeously.
