If Linda was Vince's rock behind the scenes, it was Hulk Hogan who was his rock on the screen in the formative years of WWE's success. Whenever McMahon has found riches, it has always been in partnership with a top talent. He's never been capable of doing this alone. Whether it was Hogan in the eighties, Austin in the nineties, or Cena in the 2000's, there's always been that one worker who has helped to carry McMahon's business to another level. Aware of this, Vince has always treated his top talent very well. John Cena is held to a different standard and treated better than any other WWE superstar, because he's ultimately the one pulling the numbers in. The same was true with Hogan and Austin, who made a ton of money and always had Vince's ear. But even outside of those top names, Vince has always appreciated the efforts of his best workers. The likes of Pat Patterson and Kevin Dunn have had top rank jobs in WWE for life, with Vince staying loyal to those who helped get the company off the ground. Gratitude and reward has gone a long way in making the WWE work for him.
