Vince McMahon is a risk taker. Those risks are calculated, but they're also very real. Take for example WrestleMania 1, which was either going to bankrupt McMahon or double his money. There was no way he knew for sure if it was going to succeed, and if it hadn't, the entire WWF business would have went under. On top of that, he'd have lost his house and been left bankrupt. Thankfully, the risk of putting on a show the size and cost of Mania ended up paying off. But that isn't to say that all of McMahon's risks are winners. Look back at the XFL, which failed badly and ended up costing ten of millions of lost dollars. But that's what sets a guy like Vince McMahon out from the rest of the pack. By being open to failure or success, he's ended up coming out with far more success stories than horror stories.
