11 Ways Seth Rollins' Injury Changes WWE

1. Survivor Series Becomes A Much More Interesting Event

Prior to the Rollins injury, Survivor Series had the makings of a regular show. It was going to feature the Rollins/Reigns main event, the elimination tag featuring the Wyatt Family vs. Undertaker/Kane and then the other champions like Alberto Del Rio, Kevin Owens, The New Day and Charlotte would have title defenses. Add in a Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze match and that's pretty much the card. All of that has changed due to the injury suffered by the WWE Champion. Suddenly, Survivor Series went from average show to one of the most intriguing events of the years because of the uncertainty that surrounds the WWE Title picture. Wrestling fans love tournaments. One of the most famous tournaments ever took place at the 1998 Survivor Series where The Rock turned heel with the McMahon Family in order to win his first WWE Title. It's seventeen years since that event and chances are that if they did a tournament again it would work just as well as that one did. If WWE opted for a one night only 16-man tournament it would be amazing. They would likely need to make it a four hour show, but it would be worth it. They could also make it a four man or eight man tourney as well. Either way, it's going to be a more exciting show because of the tournament. Fans will want to tune in to see Survivor Series because they will be curious to see who will emerge as the champ. It's a huge opportunity for WWE to do something big by having a surprise winner, a massive heel turn or just put on some great matches to determine the new champion. The people that weren't excited about the show before likely are excited now. And it's all thanks to that Seth Rollins injury. Funny how that works out.
