This has been on WWE's 'to do' list ever since AJ Lee returned to the promotion on the 5 September 2025 episode of SmackDown. She inserted herself in hubby CM Punk's issues with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, which led to a mixed tag-team bout between the quartet at Wrestlepalooza later the same month.

Then, AJ forced Becky to submit and scored the victory for her squad during the women's WarGames match at Survivor Series in November, but it's been radio silence from Lee ever since then. She wasn't even given the call to take part in the women's Rumble match despite being a hot tip to work her first ever 30-woman scrap.

Triple H seems content to play the waiting game on this match. Arguably, it had WrestleMania written all over it as soon as AJ launched her comeback and got up in Becky's face. In the interim, Lynch has lost the Women's Intercontinental Title to Maxxine Dupri then won the thing back, so now it's all systems go on a tasty looking midcard title match in Vegas.

It'd be one of the biggest shocks of 2026 if this doesn't happen. It's tough to see whether either woman lands in terms of the 'Mania lineup if they aren't nose to nose.

Predicted Winner: AJ Lee. Christ knows how often she'd show up to defend the belt, because she has a part time schedule to rival Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar, but it seems like a must that she finishes off the rivalry with Lynch by defeating her yet again.
