11 Wrestling Easter Eggs You Totally Didn't Notice

6. Kane's Eye

Sometimes it doesn't matter who or what is featured on a pay-per-view poster. Honestly, it feels like a f*cking rolodex at times.

A suited and booted R-Truth appeared on the poster for Hell In A Cell 2013, at which he didn't appear, much less in the suit he never wears. Was he meant to be adopting an evil corporate aesthetic, and if so, why not just get Vince to strike a pose? He told AJ Styles and Xavier Woods that he literally owns their faces lol.

Steve Austin was shown on the Unforgiven 2001 poster with two faces emerging from his...primary face in a wretched Photoshop job. Looked like the sh*ts, but it wasn't an inaccurate depiction of his bizarre split personality booking that year. Quite why you'd want to advertise that is another matter, but then, quite why WWE is proud to put the watermark on RAW broadcasts in 2021 is equally puzzling.

But then there's also Judgment Day 2000, which was remarkably subtle by the standards of the time: barely perceptible in Kane's pupil was a tiny picture of the Undertaker's symbol.

'Taker made a surprise return on the show as the American Badass. Think of it as an early, better version of "You'll Never See It Coming!" because Michael Cole didn't scream it in your face a million times.
