The Miz and Shane McMahon's good match luck appeared to have run out as their steel cage war lumbered on before another absurd 'Shane-O-Mac' escape just about justified one more month of their Dad patter and oddly-captivating violence.

Miz in particular worked his f*cking a*se off here, such is now part of the requirement as a babyface. What was once his biggest tool as a heel becomes his biggest task as a hero - 'The A Lister' has to flex his acting chops looking like an elite worker to stay in league with others like him. He might get more help from others not named McMahon, but at least 'The Money' let his notable perspiration play in to a pretty creative finish.

McMahon's presumably got something big with Roman Reigns planned for the summer, but there's space for Miz to conclusively crush him before 'The Big Dog' gets to concuss him with another mid-air spear. Fair f*cks to all involved thus far, and credit most of all to WWE for not succumbing to their usual cruelty and hoying George Mizanin in a shark cage to pay all of this off.
