11 WWE Poster Boys That Didn't Make The Pay-Per-View

8. Kane - Judgment Day 2000, Judgment Day 2007 & One Night Stand 2008

Joining his big brother on three PPV poster appearances whilst not competing at the event itself, Kane is another who finds himself frequently showcased despite not having a major role in the company. He's just pretty good at looking maniacal and unhinged I suppose, which WWE has often favoured when it comes to their posters.

Kane missed two Judgment Days despite being on the poster, in 2000 and 2007. In 2000 he had the mask on but missed the event due to a hand injury, returning just after the PPV to assist his brother in his fight against Triple H. 2007 actually did see Kane compete, but only in the dark match as he squashed Dave Taylor.

Despite doing some excellent labour on the poster, Kane wasn't in action at One Night Stand in 2008 either. What makes this more confusing is the fact that he was actually the ECW Champion at this time, but that brand's marquee match that night was a five-way match to determine the #1 Contender to his crown. Huh.

At least that meant Kane could get back to his metal work, and we know how much he loves metal work.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
