Whether you know it as Cyber Sunday or Taboo Tuesday is irrelevant, the concept was strange to say the least. The WWE Universe were to vote on stipulations and matches that would take place, leading to a lot of on-the-fly matches and disqualification finishes. The idea was novel, but it made for some pretty naff shows.

The final Cyber Sunday event took place in 2008, and featured CM Punk with an army of mobile phone-holding Punk supporters. Punk was a star on the rise in terms of popularity at the time, but by the time the show came around he was lost in the tag division teaming with Kofi Kingston.

If there had been a slight change in the voting then Punk and Kofi could have found themselves challenging Legacy for the straps, but as it was they lost out by 3% to the bout of Miz & Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme.

Yes, more people wanted to see Cryme Tyme than they did CM Punk and Kofi Kingston.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
