11 WWE Stars Who Made Appearances For Other Promotions

Though Kane is currently enjoying his 23rd year as a WWE employee, he’s had a fair few flings with other promotions during his time in the company.

Most notably, he appeared under his masked guise for Power Pro Wrestling—a former developmental territory—when he faced Jerry Lawler in June 1998 in a match that doesn’t quite fit the “developmental” tag. He then appeared at the WXW Yokozuna Tribute show in November 2001 where he teamed with the Undertaker, and there have been various OVW and NWA dates scattered here and there in between.

Incidentally, most of those dates tend to have taken place in nearby Kentucky or Tennessee—the same state in in which he’s currently running for governor of Knox County.

And if we consider some of Kane previous gimmicks (Isaac Yankem, Fake Diesel, and the lesser-spotted Unabomb) then we’ll see he’s had excursions to all kinds of companies, including USWA, Smokey Mountain Wrestling, Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling, as well as IWA in Puerto Rico and even AAA in Mexico.
