11 WWF Title Challengers No One Remembers
9. Spike Dudley
The runt of the Dudley litter, Little Spike Dudley was able to squeeze as much success out of wrestling as anyone of his size ever could. He had two tag team title wins with Balls Mahoney and Tazz in ECW and WWF, before having a nice singles career winning European and Cruiserweight gold.
Spike is remembered for being one of the smallest full-time wrestlers that the WWE has ever employed. Because of his meager stature, he was able to bump like the best of them, making sure everyone in the audience knew exactly how painful the moves are to a normal person. He'd writhe in pain and fly through the air like a rag doll since other wrestlers could toss him around with such ease.
But many forget that he did in fact challenge for the top title on an episode of SmackDown while he and Molly Holly feuded with a heel Stone Cold.
The stage was set for what could have been an engaging match that at least teased the upset every now and then like with Jeff Hardy's ladder match against The Undertaker. Instead, the entire match was used to put over Stone Cold as he was preparing to be a key player in the Invasion angle.
