12 Actors Who Could Totally Play WWE Superstars In Movies
5. Terry Crews As Rocky Johnson
Rocky Johnson obviously had a major role in giving black wrestlers a break into the company, becoming one half of the first African American tag team to ever win the titles. And his family legacy runs deep, with his father-in-law being High Chief Peter Maivia, and his son is one of those low-tier wrestlers from the Attitude Era who never seemed to catch much of a break. What was his name...?
No, of course there would have to be a decent chunk of the film dedicated to his interactions with (and training of) The Almost-Rock.
If we're basing this solely on physique, this role was born for Terry Crews. The Pectoral Maestro (a nickname Crews somehow doesn't have yet) also has the ideal level of energy to capture The Soul Man's in-ring antics. The shuffle punches, the handstands, the dance moves...can't you just see Crews doing all of that with a hearty smile on his face?
Besides, the aforementioned father-son moments are right in Crews' capability range, as proven by his role of the dad on the TV series Everybody Hates Chris.
