12 Best Songs About Professional Wrestling

4. Ruff Ryders - Pay Per View

1999’s WCW Mayhem: The Music compilation is a predictably underwhelming compilation of nu-metal and hip-hop, most of which had absolutely nothing to do with wrestling in the first place.

This track, however, is alllllll about the pro-graps. Rappers Jadakiss, Styles P, Eve, and Drag-On barely go a line without dropping superstar names or threatening to put you in a sleeper hold. The bar is already pretty low when it comes to rap/wrestling crossovers (especially in the ‘90s), but this is actually a pretty serviceable posse cut from four decent-to-good MCs.

Throw it on, revel in its ridiculousness, and stop letting shame dictate your decisions, because the Ruff Ryders are “like Diamond Dallas Page, guaranteed to leave you screaming, ‘cause you talk too much like Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan.”

… I’m sorry.

Really, really sorry.
