12 Best WWE Insults Of 2016

3. "No Enhancement Needed"

You won't find lower hanging fruit in professional wrestling in 2016, but just because fruit happens to be within arms reach doesn't mean it should be totally ignored. Randy Orton returned to WWE at Battleground 2016 as Chris Jericho's guest on the Highlight Reel, being interviewed just days after news had broke about his SummerSlam opponent Brock Lesnar's failed UFC drug tests.

So would Orton bring them up? Did WWE want to acknowledge them? Of course they did! Orton spoke of Lesnar's affinity for suplexes, talking of how many it takes to get to Suplex City. He claimed that it only took one RKO to go to Viperville, "no enhancement needed". It was obvious, it was childish, and it was awesome.

In many ways it was made all the better coming from Orton, a man for whom the WWE Wellness Policy doesn't seem to apply. Orton is famous for his enhancement issues, so him calling out Lesnar on such a subject was hypocrisy at its beautiful best.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
