WWE only have themselves to blame, but Sting has so far been a real waste of money. He's on a very good contract, but he has so far only been utilised on free shows. That's right, Survivor Series and Fast Lane were both in WWE Network free promotional months. His other appearance was on Raw. In each instance, he basically showed up and didn't speak. He did hit Triple H with a few moves of attack at the pay per view dates, but it was very basic. You have to ask yourself, where is the return of investment for WWE? They gave away Sting for free and did so in a way that made him sort of boring. His upcoming WrestleMania match is therefore not as hot as it should be. There's no one who is watching Mania just to see Sting. So much of his value was in The Undertaker dream match, and facing Triple H is perceived as a weak substitute. WWE wasted money on the 55 year old by bringing him in for the wrong match and not building his persona in the correct way.
