When Charlotte defeated Becky Lynch in the Women’s Championship triple threat at WrestleMania, many assumed that Sasha Banks would stay right in the hunt since Ric Flair interfered to prevent her from saving the match. Mania could have (and possibly should have) been the Boss’ moment, but perhaps WWE felt that delaying it a little would add a little more to it.

Now, however, it looks like Natalya has stepped into that role as Charlotte’s top contender, narrowly missing capturing the Women’s Championship after Flair pulled the referee out of the ring last week, forcing a DQ. You’ve got to assume this means that Nattie is due a rematch for the title at Payback, but where does that leave Sasha? And even though she took the loss at Mania, hopefully Becky is still somewhere in the mix at the top of the division.

Throw in the Dr. Phil psycho-babble last week about Charlotte being held down by her father – which could be ignored completely or followed up on – and there are a few things going on right now in the women’s division.
