Moses and Chance seem to have a rivalry with the day shift cops, Broadway and Hutch.

In the opening moments of the episode "Partners" the morning relief cops slowly approach the patrol car with guns drawn and lit firecrackers. The prank illustrates how mean the two teams can be to each other. 

The next night Moses and Chance try to listen to their car radio only to find out that it has been rigged to play only loud ranchero music. Once turned on it cannot be turned off. Chance's ex-wife Theresa served him divorce papers while he was in Tijuana so the music sends him into a hysterical frenzy.

Yet another prank by Broadway and Hawk involved Moses' wife being Photoshopped onto hundreds of hooker flyers that are peppered all throughout the police car. Moses and Chance were losing this prank war and needed to retaliate.

Somehow the buddy cops got ahead of a Broadway and Hawk prank and flipped it on them. The day shifters rigged up their radio to give them a shock whenever they answered and tried to call them. The night shifters placed dummies in their vehicle and made the shock turn into a car-engulfing flame.

Broadway flipped out on the alpha male Hawk and told them that he would tell on him over "the cars, the women...the men." They finally got what they deserved.
