12 Great Wrestling Matches You'll Never Watch Again (And Why)

4. Chris Benoit vs. Sid Vicious (WCW Souled Out 2000)

At Souled Out 2000, Chris Benoit wrestled his last ever WCW match. The bout wasn't in the initial plans. Originally, Bret Hart was scheduled to defend his WCW World Title on the show. In addition, Jeff Jarrett was supposed to work 3 bouts. Both went down with injuries however, meaning the entire card had to be reshuffled. This led to a situation whereby the World Title was vacated. Chris Benoit and Sid Vicious were installed into the main event picture, facing off one-on-one in the main event. At this point in time, WCW was a complete mess from an organisation stand point, and it shows. Somehow, the match ended up being really pretty good, despite the shoddy circumstances. The very next night, Benoit would decide to vacate the title and leave World Championship Wrestling to join the WWF. Tired of the chaos in Atlanta, the 'Crippler' wanted more structure to his career. Arn Anderson was the Special Guest Referee for the contest, but it's doubtful many wrestling fans have chosen to watch Souled Out 2000 all the way through. In order to get to the main event, there's a whole load of rotten matches to get through.
