11. El Toro Fuerte - Jackie Chan Adventures

Hey, remember Jackie Chan Adventures? It was a cartoon that cast sixty-something martial arts stuntman Jackie Chan as an anxious archaeologist that habitually fought demons. It was kind of like a Chinatown version of Jonny Quest, but better, because each episode ended with the real Jackie Chan personally answering questions from children by rambling incoherently. Then they'd send his garbled, half-English response to the world's most harried intern, who would edit his twelve minute tangent into a ten second clip. There shouldn't be twenty-five jump cuts if you're just trying to tell us what your favorite ice cream flavor is, Jackie.

Anyway, one of Jackie's friendly rivals on the show was a luchador called El Toro Fuerte, and he was totally cast from the classic Santo mold. He wore a three piece suit with his mask when he wasn't wrestling, and spent his spare time throwing topés at organized crime. Also, he owned a magic ox medallion that gave him superhuman strength. Rumors that he'll appear on season two of Lucha Underground are so far unconfirmed.
