12 Greatest Heel WWE Champions of All Time

12. Randy Orton

The Legend Killer; The Viper; The Apex Predator. Currently a fully-fledged face, Randy Orton was born to be a wrestler, and has become one of the greatest of his generation. His raw talent was apparent by the fact that he is the youngest world champion in WWE history, and his finishing manoeuvre the RKO is the most unpredictable finisher in WWE today. However, the period of his career worth concentrating on is from 2008-2010. While Randy Orton developed his niche as the Legend Killer, from 2008 he began to change from his brash and cocky character that felt entitled to greatness. He shifted to the Viper and used the new theme music €˜Voices€™, and he became a borderline psychotic sociopath, that would use his underlings in the €˜Legacy€™ for his own selfish reasons and anybody who stood in his way would be punted in the head. His attacks on Triple H and the McMahon family were brutal to the point of being disturbing, and that made him as unique a heel as any the WWE had produced. During this period he held the WWE Championship on a number of occasions, and consistently drew heat against all superstars (apart from John Cena, who is booed no matter who is opponent is). Orton was also effective as although he adopted the basic heel trait of winning at all costs, in most situations people would see him as the dominant figure in his matches. With his brutal attitude and the €˜Legacy€™ in his corner, Orton is perhaps the latest uniquely great heel WWE Champion. So that is my list of the greatest heel WWE Champions of all time. Do you agree? Will CM Punk reach the same level as these superstars by the time he loses the championship? And will other superstars like the Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett be considered in this bracket in the near future?
