Whisper it, in case Vince McMahon gets an itchy trigger finger, but Asuka's main roster run has thus far been a modest success. The 'Empress Of Tomorrow' departed NXT on a sea of tears from both those sad to see her leave and worried about the preservation of her incredible undefeated streak and inimitable megastar aura.

The prognosis is still broadly fine for both to make it at least until WrestleMania in one piece, where the company will presumably have to sh*t or get off the pot in giving her either the Raw or SmackDown Live!'s Women's Title.

The Royal Rumble presents the perfect stage for her to shine following smaller successes on television and pay-per-view. An uncompromising and unequivocal declaration that she is the best. Her road to Championship confirmation of the fact can then continue in earnest.

She aped The Rock, taking to the third person to proudly declare that "Nobody (was) Ready For Asuka" during her most dominant NXT days. It's still the case now too. There's only one justifiable reason why she shouldn't win, and even that would come under the most unlikely of circumstances...
