12 Most Alarming Physique Transformations In WWE History

5. Rene Dupree

Rene Dupree was only 19 years old when he debuted on WWE television in 2003. A second generation wrestler, Dupree certainly looked the part. After splitting up from Sylvain Grenier, Dupree was moved to SmackDown and given a singles push feuding with US Champ John Cena. As is often the case, Dupree's new push coincided with an increase in muscle size.

Steroid use was clearly rife around 2004. Look at any show from that year and you cannot help but notice the chronic back acne on many wrestlers. Dupree was no different but instead of acne he developed gynecomastia, or to put it in gym parlance, 'b*tch t*ts'. Dupree admitted during his RF Video shoot interview that he used steroids at this time but stopped taking them in late 2004. Apparently WWE agent and writer Michael Hayes became concerned and frantically asked Dupree if he had lost weight but Dupree told him he had switched to an all-fish diet and that he had nothing to worry about.

His physique drastically changed when he began wrestling in Japan after being released by WWE. The picture on the right, taken at an independent show in 2012, got people online talking and speculating. Dupree, who has publicly battled with drugs and alcohol, looked gaunt (for him) but he was still pretty big and in shape, just not as much as he was when he was on the juice.
