12 Most Brutal WWE Chair Shots

10. Brock Lesnar On Zach Gowen (SmackDown, Aug 21, 2003)

Don’t start feeling too sorry for Lesnar, though, because he gave as good as he got. Case in point, on a SmackDown taping back in August 2003, Lesnar absolutely brutalised a 20-year-old, one-legged Zach Gowen, as the kid's own mother looked on from the front row.

The entire segment was pretty tough to watch, with Lesnar tossing Gowen leg-first into the ring-post and eventually leaving him a battered and bloody mess. And as you might have guessed by now, the beatdown wouldn’t have been complete without the obligatory chair shot.

This wasn’t your run-of-the-mill chair shot though, as it came from a brute pushing 300-pounds and on top of that, he had a running start. Lesnar steamed in and cracked Gowen across the forehead, in a move that somehow managed to sound worse than it looked.

Still, even more scarcely believable is the fact that when reflecting on working with Lesnar, Gowen notes that “Brock took care of me.” Clearly, that chair shot knocked him sillier than first thought.
