While the WWE reboot of ECW was much-maligned for being a washed-out knock-off, at least the preceding One Night Stand pay-per-views were a little more authentic.

One Night Stand still managed to maintain some of those vital ECW elements, thanks largely to the fact that actual ECW alumni were featured prominently on the show—alumni that included the likes of Sabu, a guy who was more than happy to channel some of that old ECW spirit.

At the 2006 One Night Stand show, Sabu did exactly that in his showdown with Rey Mysterio. Ever the innovator, Sabu took the liberty of throwing his chair as opposed to simply swinging it, with the seated part caving under the impact of clattering at full throttle into Mysterio’s head.

Perhaps the acoustics of the Hammerstein Ballroom made this one sound louder than it really was, but even so, you get the impression this would have sounded painful in any arena in the world.
