The big thing to address right away is the idea of multiple Kanes. From 1997 to 2003, it can't be denied that Kane appeared to change. His height and weight fluctuated, leading to some fans to suggest that there was more than one person portraying the character. It is pretty noticeable that Kane's shape has altered if you look at him in year to year photographs. The urban legend soon caught fire, with Attitude Era fans constantly debating if there was more than one man playing Kane. Why People Believe It: Kane's appearance did change throughout his 97 - 03 run. WWE actually made specific changes, giving the character various mask and costume re-designs. This only added fuel to the urban legends that the Kane actor was changing. Should We Believe It: No. There has only ever been one person playing Kane and that is Glenn Jacobs. There was impostor Kane in 2006, but that was deliberatly referenced as a fake Kane. It was never passed off as Kane. Similarly, The Undertaker portrayed Kane in a 1998 Raw segment, but again that was immediately referenced as a fake. Week in, week out, for nearly two decades it has been Glenn Jacobs portraying Kane.
