Honky Tonk Man's record Intercontinental Championship reign is the stuff of WWF legend. The dastardly heel held onto his belt for a mammoth 64 weeks, but lost it in the most unceremonious manner imaginable at SummerSlam 1988.

With scheduled challenger Brutus Beefcake unable to compete, Honky Tonk angrily took the microphone and demanded his new challenger come out to the ring - no matter who he may be.

To his horror, that man turned out to be the Ultimate Warrior, who ended his reign in just 31 seconds. It popped the live crowd, but must surely be seen as an ill-fitting way to end one of the most iconic title reigns in company history.
