2. James Ellsworth Resolves To Stay Away From AJ Styles
Speaking of Ellsworth, I would prefer it if his New Year’s resolution was to stay as far away from AJ Styles as possible. Have you ever had a friend who came up with a funny joke or one-liner and beat it into the ground by repeating it to anyone who would listen, over and over for weeks until you wanted to punch him in the teeth?
That joke is James Ellsworth.
It was funny for about 11 seconds but WWE rode it to death while trying their hardest to make their world heavyweight champion look like a loser. Thankfully said champion was the supremely talented AJ Styles and not someone of a lesser caliber who no doubt would not have survived the Great Ellsworth Debacle of 2016.
We don’t need to see Styles in the ring with Ellsworth again; as friend or foe. Keep the two as far apart as possible. AJ gave him the rub of all rubs, and while I’m sure he’s a nice guy, there’s no money in James Ellsworth. WWE should just be thankful they didn’t kill off their world champ in the process.
