4. Roman Reigns Resolves To Turn Heel
I hate to redundantly pound the war drum of smarks everywhere but the one New Year’s resolution Roman Reigns needs to make is to grow a pair of stones and demand that Vince McMahon finally turn him heel.
Not only is it hurting his own career, but now others are suffering through guilt by association. The mini-Shield reunion that I spoke about earlier is drawing boos for Seth Rollins rather than getting the fans all fired up in their favor. Dave Meltzer and others with sources inside WWE continue to insist that McMahon stubbornly believes Reigns is a big draw as a babyface, and that may one day be possible, but to quote Aragorn “Today is NOT that day!”
Roman isn’t an idiot; he’s surely aware of the continuous backlash that refuses to die and can clearly see that he isn’t progressing in his career because the fans alternate between disdain and apathy, and it’s time for him to take a stand and demand a change in direction for his character.
Otherwise he might be doomed to a career of midcard mediocrity.
