12 Reasons DX Was Better Than The nWo

8. They Had Better Antagonists

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BR4eVxpBSk The nWo was dominant. Too dominant, some might argue. Wrestlers have commented on record that unless you were in the nWo, you knew you were pretty much going to get beat up every week. The main nWo antagonists in 1996 and 1997 were The Four Horsemen and Sting, who didn€™t even wrestle a match for a full year. In the meantime, WCW had out-of-their-prime wrestlers like Roddy Piper and Larry Zybysko in prime PPV matches, with only guys like Diamond Dallas Page forming any kind of defense. It ultimately made for boring television, and got to the point where the only real competition for the nWo was the nWo, which led to the Hollywood/Wolfpac split in 1998. DX had antagonists like Bret Hart and Steve Austin in the 97/early 98 days. It made the storylines more interesting. And when the second version formed after Wrestlemania 14, there was an immediate feud with the Nation of Domination, headed up by The Rock, who was an all-time great. DX at least lost a couple matches here and there, which made them more sympathetic as babyfaces. It made for better, more exciting television.
