12 Reasons Kurt Angle Was Brock Lesnar's Best WWE Feud

1. The Epic Time Scale

How many times do WWE commit nine months to a feud? Not very often, and that's what made Angle Lesnar really special. It was wrestling on an epic timescale, kicking off in January 2003 and not fully moving on until September of that year. The only brief break in the feud was Lesnar's spring title defences against John Cena and Big Show. But even then, WWE would talk about Angle getting ready to come back and go after the title again. All in all, the Angle Lesnar feud had been teased from late 2002 and then ran as the main current of Smackdown for over half of 2003. The roles reversing and three title changes helped to ensure things never got dull. It was always on point, particularly in Brock's Rumble to WrestleMania 19 chase. If only WWE could do feuds on this scale and quality more often. The fact they'll never wrestle again makes it even more special, a rare period in time when pro wrestling really was top of WWE's bill.
