One year after putting on one of the all-time greatest matches ever at WrestleMania III, Ricky Steamboat left the company, and headed to WCW to put on some more all-time classics against Ric Flair.

In 1991, Steamboat came back to the WWF...well, kind of. He wasn't really Steamboat anymore, he was just "The Dragon." For the most part, the announcers didn't acknowledge that this was the same guy we had just seen a couple of years ago. He was also no longer a mild-mannered, hardworking family man who could turn it on in the ring, he was now a silly gimmick with a ridiculous looking dragon-like cape. Oh yeah, he also now could breathe fire.

He only had one pay-per-view match during his return and never had an opportunity for a title. He could have been pushed as the second biggest babyface in the company, but was largely forgotten for his entire run there. The Dragon flamed out in the WWF in a year, and again went back to WCW.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
