12 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Royal Rumble

9. Scotty 2 Hotty Never Entered The 2005 Royal Rumble Match

The 15th entrant in the 2005 Rumble match was Scotty 2 Hotty. By that point in his career he really didn't have a lot going for him and was just a lower card guy on the roster. He was locked in his role as a guy that got beat up by heels that were on their way up. Basically, he was a jobber. During that 2005 Rumble match, Muhammad Hassan had just been eliminated by a bunch of wrestlers that teamed up to eliminate him. He was a heel that complained about how unfair everything was, so they teamed together to toss him out of the match. As Scotty was making his way down to the ring, Hassan was furious about what happened and he attacked Scotty from behind. Hassan put him in Camel Clutch outside the ring. Refs eventually pried him off, but Scotty never entered the match. It was never really mentioned after that. It was probably just WWE's way of saying nobody cares about Scotty being in or out of the match anyway and they were right. He wasn't the first guy that this happened to either. It happened in 2004 to Spike Dudley as well. Scotty's was the more memorable of the two.
