Wrestling fans couldn't move for cries of, 'Save Us, Y2J' hitting the night air in late-2007. Vignettes began airing on TV that were designed to be cryptic, but people sniffed out what was happening fairly swiftly. That didn't dampen excitement for Chris Jericho's return following a 2 year hiatus.

He'd left as a brattish heel, but would launch his comeback looking like the world's most handsome blend of Bon Jovi and Gordon Ramsay. Sadly, he neither belted out 'Living On A Prayer' nor called someone an idiot sandwich. Jericho did, however, interrupt Randy Orton's 'passing of the torch' skit on the 19 November '07 show.

That happened to set up a match between the pair for Armageddon the next month. Jericho would win that by DQ when JBL rushed in to start his own feud with 'Y2J'. Admittedly, bit of an odd choice there, but having Jericho back did up the star power on Mondays. Fans were legitimately thrilled to see him again.

Jericho would go heel the next year and work his way back into main events all over again, but there was no way he was going to get booed during his comeback. Chris needed to be babyface first, at least for a while. The fever pitch anticipation was sky high for his shiny silver waistcoats that made him look more 'Dancing With The Stars' than grizzled veteran who'd returned to reclaim his glory.

'Y2J' led matches and segments gave Raw a much-needed shot in the arm when binge watching old episodes.
