12 Times Brock Lesnar Lost Clean

5. Vs. John Cena - Extreme Rules 2012

After his tenure in Japan, Lesnar got involved with MMA, and his success was meteoric. With only one fight under his belt, he was signed by UFC, and by the end of 2008, he was Heavyweight Champion. Lesnar would lose the belt to Cain Velasquez in 2010, then retire from the sport after a late 2011 loss to Alistair Overeem.

That set the stage for The Beast's return to WWE. The evening after WrestleMania 28, Lesnar ended his eight-year exile when he appeared on Raw and attacked John Cena. Immediately, a bout between the two men was signed for Extreme Rules, and fans could hardly believe what they would soon witness.

The Extreme Rules bout was a vicious brawl that was legitimately one of WWE's most brutal PPV contests ever. Both men bled from stiff shots and a host of weapons came into play, but as the match was no disqualification, it was all permitted. Lesnar dominated the bout, but uncertainty regarding his future in the company let to the heavily-criticized decision that Cena would go over. WWE's top babyface got the surprising pin after an AA on the steel ring steps.
