12 Times WWE Brutally CANCELLED World Championship Reigns
4. Chyna
Joanie 'Chyna' Laurer was a woman who held the Intercontinental Championship before there was such a thing as the Women's Intercontinental Championship, a woman who entered the Royal Rumble match before there was such a thing as the women's Royal Rumble match, and a woman who almost won the WWF Championship.
That's the rumour, anyway: according to her former representative, Anthony Anzaldo, 'The Ninth Wonder of the World' was to have been awarded the top promotional prize, the catch being that she would have had to turn down an offer to be on the cover of Playboy. She chose the latter.
The closest she came to making an earnest bit of history was ahead of the 1999 SummerSlam. She had won the number one contendership to challenge 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, a spot she later lost to Mankind, who, alongside Triple H, entered the SummerSlam headliner with 'The Texas Rattlesnake' instead. Mankind won that, Triple H won against Mankind the next night on Raw, and the above match graphic entered the museum of 'Match Graphics For Insane Matches That ALMOST Happened', with Chyna never again considered for the top spot.
