12 Ups & 13 Downs For WWE In 2019 (So Far)

8. R-Truth & The 24/7 Championship

R Truth 24 7 Title
WWE

God bless R-Truth, because what started with one of the year's most cringe-worthy segment (Mick Foley's unveiling the gross green belt) has turned into WWE's most enjoyable midcard oddity, with the 24/7 Championship continually providing a welcome reprieve from the contrivances found elsewhere on the card.

These segments are delightful. From Truth losing the belt on an airport runway then regaining it mid-flight to the former K-Kwik ruining Drake Maverick's wedding and referring to the 205 Live General Manager exclusively as "Hornswoggle," they're always a hoot, and much of this should be appropriated to the division's ace. Always an endearing entertainer, R-Truth and his cohorts have apparently been given a creative license to do whatever they want with the division, and it shows, with the 24/7 Title doing the impossible - delivering WWE comedy that's actually funny.

There'll come a time when they need to freshen the formula up, but the current format isn't close to running out of steam yet. Long may it continue.
