12 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 11)

3. RIP Nick Jackson

Inner Circle Nick Jackson
AEW

What a terrible week for pro-wrestling deaths. First it was Erick Rowan's spider on Raw, and after having his head squished beneath a metal shutter door last night, Nick Jackson is now on his way to God as well. RIP.

A fantastic angle began with Chris Jericho cutting a promo after Cody's win over Ortiz. Last week, The Inner Circle put AEW on notice. At Blood and Guts, they were going to "beat the hell out of you pumpkin-head dipsh*ts" (!!!), and oh, where's Nick?

Turns out he's got a bit of a headache.

The camera panned out to Jackson's corpse stuck beneath the shutter, blood oozing from his mouth. The Inner Circle bailed, of course, and the reaction really made the segment. The announcers spoke in hushed, weighty tones as Nick was loaded into the back of the ambulance, really putting this "scary situation" over. Credit to all three of them: they were just as effective as Jericho or anybody else.

Jackson could now be ruled out of Blood and Guts. Good job a certain Purveyor of Violence is available, then...
