12 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 11)

1. Death Comes To Dynamite

Death Triangle
AEW

Death Triangle debuted with aplomb last night, taking Private Party and Joey Janela apart in an awesome first in-ring chapter for wrestling's most interesting new faction.

Walking out to a darker, less sh*tty version of the Lucha Brothers' theme, the trio immediately felt and looked the part as a big-time, cohesive stable. A belter of a bout followed. This was all-action, go-go-go, adrenaline-pumping pro-wrestling, with no extra fat, no screwing around, and no unnecessary slowdowns. That's exactly want you want from this cluster of wrestlers: exciting, fast-flowing work for an invested crowd, with great spots like Marq Quen and Janela working a Gin and Juice into a Death Valley Driver.

Death Triangle were always going to win here but the quality of the action compensated for any predictability, with PAC's Black Arrow sealing the deal. A supplemental Up for the post-match angle, too, as Best Friends and Orange Cassidy ran the bastards off, building towards the inevitable trios bout.

While most of Dynamite's other content had more substance, this was a much-needed sugar rush. Death Triangle are off to a flier.
