12 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 11)

Ups...

12. Sorry, Matt

Hangman Page
AEW

The talk heading into last night's Dynamite was that Matt Jackson would somehow become Hangman Page's mystery partner against the Inner Circle. AEW totally shot this down in a smart opening segment that saw Page interview by Tony Schiavone, antagonising both Young Bucks with just a few sentences.

Hangman said he needed somebody he could trust and someone he'd known a long time with the Jacksons stood right beside him, then said picking Matt was the last thing he'd do. He then thought about Matt's "younger, more talented brother," but nah, his partner remained a mystery, and the Bucks were miffed.

Not a lot to pick apart here, but it it worked. AEW wanted to rule the most obvious choice out early on and Matt's "tell me you're not teaming with that pr*ck" shows the bad blood is reciprocated.
