What a banger. What an absolute banger.

While Andrade and Rey Mysterio's singles matches make it impossible to call last night's United States Title Fatal Four-Way SmackDown's best match of 2019, it belongs in the conversation. This thing was absolutely berserk. 15 minutes of nonstop, blistering action, it was everything such bouts should be, and it was all set up by R-Truth's US Title open challenge.

Paying tribute to his "idol," John Cena, Truth threw the gauntlet down, claiming Lacey Evans' early interruption "didn't count." Out came Samoa Joe. And Rey Mysterio. And Andrade. Suddenly, Truth had a lot more on his hands than he'd bargained for.

All four played their part in why the bout was so successful. Joe stalked and menaced in the background, then struck when necessarily, hitting his bully notes to perfection. R-Truth once again proved himself an ageless wonder at 47-years-old. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Mysterio and Andrade f*cking killed it any time they interacted, and now, finally, they're getting that pay-per-view bout at Fastlane.

While said interactions highlighted most of the bout, it belonged to one man in the end...
